CHESS CLUB

CHESS CLUB STARTING AT BSC

Dane Foster of Yr 10 has started a Chess Club at our school. There has been such a pleasing amount of interest, with over 40 students attending the information session this week. Chess club will be held in the library every Wednesday and Thursday at lunchtime. 

Students will be divided into three levels of experience and ability and there will be support for those who are learning, as well as opportunities for tournaments. We are hoping to take part in some inter-school competitions as well. The library has purchased new chess equipment and the first meeting will be held today. It is not too late to sign up if you are interested.
