Meeting at the City of Bayswater chamber rooms, students were presented with the challenge statement "Water – Only Use What You Need", and had the day to consider a target group, define an issue and solve the problem. With an Indigenous focus on how Noongar people use and respect the waterways of Perth, the students had to present their findings to the group.

Congratulations to Mt Lawley Senior High School and St Norbert College for winning our round and progressing to the final round on Friday 21 May. An informative and constructive day had by all and congratulations to our Climate Canons on their win and for their excellent team work, ideas and effort.

Containers for Change

Since 2019 St Norbert College has been involved in the collection of PET 1 and HPDE 2 plastic for recycling company Greenbatch. Unfortunately, in 2021, the company had to close its doors to plastic repurposing and the Climate Canons had to come up with a new, effective way to reduce our plastic entering landfill. The College has set up a Containers for Change account for our College collection of suitable plastic, glass and aluminium and it is available to the wider community to contribute your change for Climate Canon projects as well as the wider school community.

We now have a Scheme ID that you can use at refund points. The code below as well as the barcode and QR code can all be used to transfer funds to assist the Climate Canons with recycling programs and events and also the wider St Norbert College community.

Thank you for your on-going support.
