Rainbow Fun Run for Resilience
On Friday afternoon there was a real buzz in the air and shrieks of laughter could be heard coming from the school oval. It was our whole school Fun Run for Resilience organised by the St Simon’s Parents Association.
The Fun Run was also a great opportunity for our school to celebrate the beginning of our partnership with The Resilience Project. The Resilience Project is an organisation that provides evidence-based, practical wellbeing strategies to build resilience at schools and in work places.
This term students have learnt about the three key pillars that have been proven to cultivate positive emotion; Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness (GEM).
The students had a wonderful afternoon and the yellow protective sunglasses were a hit.
A BIG thank you to St Simon’s Parents’ Association for organising the Rainbow Run For Resilience and the students are already looking forward to the next one!
