Uniform options update

Options: some sample items to consider

Seeking feedback

Following the review of 2017, the Uniform Working Group is exploring options for potential changes to uniform items from 2019-2021.  A range of items are being tested to address the clear student and family feedback around:

  • A desire for a uniform that can be worn year-round
  • A desire for genuinely 'gender free' options including multiple cuts of shorts, pants and shirts to suit different body types
  • Warmer and more robust options for the jacket and jumper
  • Design and fabric of the existing white and purple shirts

We currently have some samples of styles and fabrics available to inform our decision-making. Student consultation has begun and students (particularly those in Years 7-9) are invited to express interest in being part of the working group.  Interested parents are also invited to view these samples and provide feedback in a series of drop-in sessions next week. These sessions will be:

  • Tuesday 13 March 5 - 5.30pm
  • Thursday 15 March 8 - 8.30am
  • Thursday 15 March 5 - 5.30pm

Please be aware that any change to the current uniform would be a staged process over a number of years. For further details, please contact Ciar Foster, Assistant Principal.
