Family parking, drop-off and pick up

Please consider our neighbours

We have had some feedback from neighbours recently regarding problematic parking in the surrounding streets at drop-off and pick up times, and during evening events at the school.  Northcote High School greatly values its close engagement with the local community, and we therefore remind families to be mindful of local residents, and parking rules when parking:

• Always use suitable and legal parking spots, even if this means walking from further away to the school
• Never park fully or partially across a driveway
• Never double park
• Never park across a pedestrian crossing
• Respect the speed limits in the streets surrounding the school

Using public transport

To ease the pressure on parking in the local area, we encourage the school community to utilise public transport options whenever possible when attending events at the school:

• By Tram: Tram number 11 runs along St Georges Rd and has a stop outside the school
• By Train: Closest station is Merri, then walk west 300 metres to St. George's Rd

Ample bike parking is also available at the school.
