Library Bookmark Design Challenge 2018

This is your chance to shine by combining your love of reading with your creative side to design the official 2018 NHS Library bookmark.

The Library and the Art Committee are inviting all students to submit their design for our second bookmark design challenge!

The theme is based on literature. You could be inspired by a book you’ve read, images from a story or your favourite character.

The style is your choice - collage, drawing, painting, photography, or any artwork that will suit a bookmark size canvas.  

The winning designs will be chosen by a panel to be our official bookmarks for 2018.  The final designs are professionally printed, with the library information on the back.    

Here are the details: 

• Size: A4 or less – suitable image and clarity to fit the bookmark template (approx. 5cm x 20cm)
• Open to all year levels
• One entry per student
• Prizes for the winning entries
• Entries close  Friday 20th April 2018 at 3.30pm

Book club

Love talking about books? Then join us for the library book club. The flexible book club is for anybody who loves to read. We won’t have a set text, instead we’ll be sharing picks for a theme, or simply chatting about the books we’re currently reading.

Our next meeting is Wednesday 7 March 3.10-4pm in the library. Bring your theme ideas and your favourite book right now; enjoy some snacks and take home some inspiration for what to read next.

The group meets every second Wednesday (B week) after school in the library until 4pm. Hope to see you there!
