From the Principal...

Dear Parents and Friends of

St Therese's Primary School,

Over the last week or so we have been seeing disturbing news coming from India in relation to COVID. For all our families who have family and friends in India at this time who are effected by this situation, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Each year, on the fourth Sunday of Easter the Gospel reading is dedicated to the Good Shepherd. In the Gospel, Jesus uses the image of a Good Shepherd who cares for his flock and keeps them safe from the wolves. Perhaps for us today, we can take comfort in knowing that God is there for everyone and that like the Good Shepherd we can strive for unity and peace from the challenges that the world often throws at us.

ANZAC Day is a good reminder of the people who have fought to bring peace to the world and to unite us. This year, our students marked the occasion at school with a Prayer Liturgy and laid a wreath.

I hope, that like me, you were able to watch the ANZAC services on TV and could really appreciate what these brave men and women did in the past  so that we might enjoy a peaceful future. I am grateful and pray that the peace we experience in Australia continues and pray for the countries that continue to suffer due to war that one day they too will have peace.

I would like to share Psalm 23 with you as we pray for all those in the world who are sick, suffering and who have or are still experiencing the effects of war.  May this song bring some comfort to you and your families at this time.

Mother's Day

Next Thursday we will hold the Mother's Day stall. Thank you to the parents who have offered to help on this day. I am sure the children will once again enjoy purchasing small gifts that they can take home for their mothers or

grandmothers or other important person in their lives to show gratitude for all that they do.

Foundation 2022 Enrolment

If you have a child who is starting school next year, please complete an enrolment form and send into the office as soon as possible.

If you require an enrolment form please contact the office on enrolment@sttcbourne.catholic.edu.au

Winter Uniform

Please ensure your child is wearing their Winter uniform from May 3. Children are no longer required to wear hats. It would be a good opportunity while they are not wearing hats to have your child take their hat home for a wash ready for Term 4 when hats will be required again.

School Fee Statements

This week the school fee statements will be going home via email. Please keep an eye out for this and if you don't receive it you may need to check your Spam or Junk email. As always if you are experiencing difficulty with fees, please email finance@sttcbourne.catholic.edu.au for support

Have a wonderful week!

God Bless, Michelle Bruitzman
