Interested in barbering?

Our guest speaker

On Tuesday of Week 2, we were lucky enough to have Max come into the school and volunteer his time - speaking to a number of our students who are interested in becoming barbers.

Max is a barber who works at a shop in Cabramatta. He is also a youth mentor who runs a program for teens who want to become barbers introducing them to the industry.

Max shared his personal experiences about becoming a barber and the steps he took along the way. It was a valuable lesson for our students who saw not only the skills needed to succeed in the industry but also the commitment and dedication it takes.

What was meant to be a talk about careers, ended up being an inspirational life talk as Max took us through his journey and injected everyone in the room with motivation.
