Synopsis: The Department of Education and Training (DET) Respectful Relationships Initiative is a program that runs in more than 1850 Victorian government schools. The aim of the program is to promote equal and respectful relationships, and create a culture free from family violence and gender inequality. This information session is being delivered in partnership with the DET Regional Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships Team and Beaumaris Primary School, and will give you an insight into why we need Respectful Relationships Education and what you can expect for your children in this space.

From the Art Room
Dear BPS Community, We are currently seeking donations of CERAMIC WALL TILES in bright colours, earthy tones and beautiful blues. If you have any ceramic wall tiles that you think might be appropriate for our Year 6 mural, please come and talk to Miss Palermo in the Art room. Alternatively, you could send a photo example of your ceramic wall tiles to the office and Miss Palermo will respond.
Please note – no floor tiles or glass tiles please! What if you don’t have any tiles? Think outside the box! Don’t forget about those amazing retro tiles that might be out in the back shed, or that leftover box from the 40’s at Grandma’s house! A friend who may have recently renovated, or a connection with a tiler? What are the tiles for?
This year the graduating class of 2021 will be taking part in the Beaumaris P.S. tradition of creating an artwork to leave behind at our school. Throughout Term 2, the Year 6 students will be creating a mosaic mural. The Year 6 students and Miss Palermo look forward to seeing all of the beautiful tiles that are donated from our Beaumaris Community, so we can begin our project!
