From the Principal 

Dear Parents and Caregivers, Konnichiwa!

Welcome back to term 3

We look forward to another busy and productive term of learning here at Grange for term 3. Term 3 continues with many exciting events and learning opportunities which include:

• Sport’s Day
• Wakakirri performance
• Book Week celebration and parade
• Oliphant Science competition
• Magic Millions performing arts
• Choir performance
• Instrumental music performance
• Debating
• Years 3 and 4 swimming

Please see the term planner for specific dates of these events.

We also have our External School Review (ESR) on August 19 and 20, where a Department for Education review officer and two peer principals visit the school and have conversations with students, parents, Governing Council and staff about student learning and improvement. They also observe lessons in classrooms. Every state school is reviewed in a three year cycle and it is our turn to share our improvement progress and focus on student learning.

Our last ESR was held in 2016 and the report from this is attached. The 2016 report is also on our school website. Every state school has their ESR report on their school website from the most recent school review. A report will be completed following our 2019 review which I will also share with our school community.
