Year 7 Boys Hockey Success  - Go Eels

On Monday the 17th of September, selected students from the Year 7 Sport Education Boys Hockey class represented Patterson River Secondary College at the Year 7 Northern Peninsula District hockey tournament.

The students only had 2 games against EMC and Frankston for the day however both teams were very strong with their skills. With an array of talent in our team, the students should be commended for their teamwork and communication as they came away from the day victorious, drawing with EMC and then beating Frankston 6-1.

I was so proud of the manner in which the boys conducted themselves and demonstrated fair play and team spirit. Now we look forward to our next challenge, the Southern Metropolitan regional finals to be held in Hawthorn on the 28th October.

Intermediate Table Tennis

The Intermediate Table Tennis Team headed to Keysborough Table Tennis Centre for the round robin challenges.

The boys team worked hard all day and won games and sets in every round they played. Overall for the day they finished in 5th spot out of the 7 schools. Great work from the boys who had two training sessions and were a great sports team reflecting the college value of respect and excellence.

The girls team came together after 3 training sessions and showed some real skill and team work in the doubles. The first match was very close and with the teams equal on Matches, Sets and it came down to Games won over all. PRSC were just short by a few points. They won all of their other matches comfortably and also were great representatives for the college.
