August Activities

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

On Wednesday 21 August, 33 music students received a Golden Ticket to attend a matinee performance of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” at Her Majesty’s Theatre in Melbourne. We braved the cold Melbourne winter to step inside a world of pure imagination. From the opening number our feet were tapping and we were entranced by Wonkas factory of fun. We were whisked along a magical journey with Charlie Bucket and Grandpa Joe and all of our other favourite characters, the Oompa Loompas being a highlight. To witness a show of this magnitude is a fantastic experience for our students and was thoroughly enjoyed by all those who attended.

Without doubt, the Music Department’s night of nights is the Annual Musical Soiree and Spring Concert. As it approaches the entire department is abuzz with nerves, excitement and anticipation. On Tuesday 17 September we will light up the PAC with an array of talent from our music students that is sure to amaze and astound our audience. Students are experiencing the benefits of our recent camp and we look forward to performing for all those attending.
