Year 10  Personal Learning Plan (PLP)

The Personal Learning Plan (PLP) is in full swing, with Year 10’s embarking on their first SACE Subject. It is a compulsory requirement for all students to achieve a C grade or higher in the PLP to achieve their SACE. At Aberfoyle Park High School we look to have this completed by the end of Semester 1 in Year 10. 

The PLP is designed to help students plan for their future aspirations and pathways. This is done by goal setting, career development, collaborating with industry professionals and engaging in Work Experience.

Students in Year 10 have been given their Work Experience paperwork and are currently actively sourcing work placement opportunities at a range of organisations that either match their career ambitions or for which they aspire to secure part time employment. Regardless of the worksite, this opportunity will no doubt be an invaluable one for all our Year 10’s.

Parents/caregivers and students are reminded that Work Experience venues and paperwork should be secured by Week 8 of Term 1. If students are having any difficulties sourcing a site, to reach out to their PLP teacher via the Work Experience Preparation Day meetings occurring on Thursday 24 March 2022 from 1.00pm-7.00pm. 

We thank our local business and the APHS community for their continued support in hosting our students for Work Experience early in Term 2. We look forward to hearing about the exciting opportunities that await our Year 10’s.
