3/4 BO'C Literacy 

Literacy

In 3/4 BO’C we have been busy in our Target Groups working through a range of focused activities. We have been working on making connections to text through the lens of an author, ourselves, our community and our school. We have been stepping into the shoes of characters and influential figures and unpacking the various perspectives within novels, short texts and news articles. Our writing has been focused on creating rich and engaging narratives that hook our audience in and immerse them into a new world. It has been wonderful to see students engage in the editing process and apply feedback to their writing. Here are some examples of the growth mindset dialogue from students during our target groups:

“I looked back over my writing and thought I could make it better by…”

“I found this prompt challenging but it helped me create a new story…”

“I love our sharing time because it gives me ideas!” 

3/4 BO’C are proving to be a very creative network of literacy lovers and we find joy in sharing our stories and perspectives with each other.
