Congratulations to Prep RT for scoring a 10

8.5 for the school

On a scale of 1-10, how has our school  been  working together this week?

Congratulations to Prep RT for scoring a 10

7.5 for the whole school -

Some classes had a drop in their score- what can we do about this?

Friends in our groups sometimes make us distracted and not concentrate

Noisy in class - especially when we pack up

We need to improve by talking about the plan- what we need to do and listening to each other

Consider the ideas of others and not argue only our point of view

Follow instructions given and the school expectations

Learning and events in our school this week:

Wednesday sport clinic

Maths in PrepRT

Prep CD are straining to do group work

Binary in year 6 and preferential voting!

Brain breaks and fruit snack - sometimes the fruit snack takes a long time so we need to be quick and only have a little bit

Being line leader- in Prep-  to show responsibility and be a role model to others

Writing in 1/2UR

Exclamation marks in 1/2TB

Learning about punctuation 3/4BOC

Learning about the Planets in Science

What can we improve on this week:

                       Actions
Soccer game Play fair and not argue. Accept the decision and not have a temper about losing- just enjoy playing soccer with your friends.
Pushing on the monkey bars Remind each other how to play together- keeping safe especially and waiting for our turn.
Hide and seek games Some areas are out of bounds- senior students can you please explain where these areas are and why they are not for students to go there
Safety on the yard and students getting hurt

Remind your class in the SRC meeting that there are always 2 teachers on the yard that are there to supervise and help you.

If you get hurt you need to go to the teacher in the yard first  and if the teacher has seen you then go to sick bay.

Too many juniors are just coming into sick bay for a rest/because they are hot/tired/like going to sick bay/inside

Icy poles sales - no noise outside the 3/4 area while waiting- Eating icy poles - no playing with icy poles

SRC Representative ACTIONS for this week

School Leaders and SRC  will be looking out for students ‘Caught Being Good’.

They will  be nominating students who are responsible, respectful and ready to learn.

Discuss what these qualities look like.

Respectful - listening, waiting turn, walking through corridor quietly, greeting/speaking to people politely

Responsible - throwing rubbish in the bin, picking up rubbish, returning sports equipment, helping others, kindness

Ready to Learn - listening to the speaker, having materials ready for learning, being on time in class or at school.
