Music News

This week in music, each class contributed ideas and helped write a school song about promoting kindness to recognise the National day of Action against Bullying and Violence, which is on Friday 18th March. It is a work in progress, but here are the lyrics we have so far.

                                                               K.I.N.D.

That is what we want to be!

we are friendly to you and me,

Kindness is what we want to see.

At Sacred Heart we smile at everyone,

Saying Hi, Bye and Well Done,

is how we show respect & have fun.

Let's make this school a happy place,

                                         Show everyone your smiley face!

                                                  Being kind is the way,

                                             with our friends everyday.

The Preps have been enjoying singing songs, marching to the beat and dancing with the scarves and getting to know my puppets - Bruce the Cheeky monkey and Fuzzy the Clown.

There is someone who is hiding.
Dancing with the scarves
Who is hiding here?
Making flowers!
There is someone who is hiding.
Dancing with the scarves
Who is hiding here?
Making flowers!

The Grade Two's  worked hard learning how to hold the ukulele and play the C chord and strum. It takes a lot of concentration to sing, keep in time, and have each hand doing something different!

Concentration & excitement!
