Meet the Teacher

INTRODUCING MR. COOK

We had so much positive feedback from our ‘Meet the Teacher’ profiles in 2021, that we are reintroducing them in 2022! 

The purpose of the profiles is to introduce you to a few of the very special and important people in our school community.

Starting this week with… cool, calm, clever Mr. Cook! 

Mr. Cook is a year 5 teacher at M.P.S. This wonderful teacher describes himself as a relaxed, organised and sporty person. Something he loves about M.P.S. are the brilliant students he gets to see every day. Something that makes him smile is sport. Mr. Cook’s dream has been fulfilled because his childhood wish was to become a teacher. 

His favourite subject is Maths because there is always a right or wrong answer. 

His favourite Unit of Inquiry is ‘Human Rights’ because it provides lots of different perspectives from different people.

Mr Cook’s favourite inspirational quote is “education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world,” by Nelson Mandela. 

A cool fun fact about him is that his family is from South Africa, but he is from Australia.
