Principal's Message

Good afternoon as we head into a long weekend.

As week 6 concludes, I am pleased to say that we are currently travelling really well in all aspects of our College.

I am connected to 2 'mentees' this semester. One of my mentees is Lisa, a Principal from a Melbourne school in her first term as Principal. Lisa came to visit our College yesterday. She has been well briefed on our College story and was most impressed with the 'tone and feel' of what she saw.

The part I was particularly pleased with was her chats with some students. She was seeking feedback on how the students have found the changes and their thoughts.

All positive and their capacity to talk around learning was particularly pleasing.

My second mentee is George from a regional school. George will be joining us later in Term 2 for a full 5 week block. He is currently an Assistant Principal and is aspiring to become a Principal within the next 2 years. I will introduce him in detail, closer to the time.

I am currently preparing the 2021 Annual Report. This is a document that reflects on 'all things 2021', from surveys, to achievement, to attendance and more. This document will be made available to all members of our community and as always, I am happy to discuss. You should see the 2021 Annual Report by the end of term.

We have a couple of staff members who are looking for rental properties. If you could help out, please call the office on 5150 4800 and we will see if something can be arranged. Thanks. They will appreciate it. We all know how tricky accommodation can be at times.

Something to ponder: When was the last time that you played a board game with your kids? This coming weekend could be the perfect opportunity! This style of activity is a great way to have some nice family connection time and for kids to spend time away from screens.

Enjoy the long weekend and be safe.
