South Cares

Diverse educational programs

Souths Cares was established in 2006 as an independent, public benevolent institution. The Souths Cares charity has been built upon the South Sydney Rabbitohs’ long

 and proud history of supporting the community;

in particular Aboriginal and/or Torres Islander people.

It’s charter is to support disadvantaged and marginalised youth and their families through the delivery of capacity building programs addressing education,

training, health and employment needs.

South Cares Expo

Cecil Hills High School has been building a strong partnership with The South Sydney Rabbitohs Souths Cares school program. This year South Cares Liverpool Opportunity Hub hosted their inaugural Employment and Wellbeing Expo at the Whitlam Leisure Centre.

The purpose of the Expo was to provide our students with linkages to employment, training and tertiary education pathways whilst also promoting health and wellbeing.

Students from Year 10 (Grezzu Vella and Tallara Chandler) and Year 8 (Elise Browne) did a fantastic job representing our school whilst collaborating with other local schools in exploring future career and educational opportunities.

South Cares has established an extensive network in South Western Sydney and regularly visits our school to provide mentoring, mental health discussions and links to the community. In doing so, forming strong partnerships with our students and working towards future success.
