Lunch with the Stars

The STARS Connect community consists of newly arrived migrants who may share various barriers, possibly impacting their schooling to a major extent. 

The "culture of welcome" is a key ingredient of successful resettlement. I would like to thank all the past and present STARS students who attended the lunch but most importantly the STARS Connect staff Mrs Rattos, Mrs Nina Ishak and Mr Julian Floriano who helped to organise this enjoyable event. 

Events such as the STARS lunch are looked forward to by many of us STARS students, allowing us to feel at home, surrounded by people to who we relate to, and feel appreciated by. Such events facilitate our academic and social learning making school life a positive experience for us all.
