Excellence and opportunity begin here
Celebrating success
As we conclude yet another term full of twists, turns and challenges, I would like to congratulate and thank our students for their efforts this term. The CHAMP award system at Cecil Hills High School is designed to acknowledge the many achievements of students in the various areas of school life and the commitment they demonstrate in curricular and extra-curricular activities. A massive 19,549 CHAMP points have already been issued to students so far this year which is testament to their respectful, responsible and successful behaviour.
Recognition letters
In Term 1 and Term 3, our teachers nominate students for recognition letters. Please keep an eye on your mailbox during the holidays as these letters should be arriving over the next couple of weeks. It is always wonderful to recognise students who demonstrate our FOCUS values of being respectful, responsible and successful in class.
Our wonderful school community
As we near the end of term, I would once again like to thank the wonderful Cecil Hills High School community for the way in which we have worked together through the dual challenges of both COVID and extreme weather. I would like to give a special mention to our amazing staff who have been asked to go above and beyond this term. Despite large numbers of staff having to isolate or unable to get to work due to flooding, many teachers have taken extra lessons, merged classes and put projects on hold, to ensure that every student has had a teacher in every class. We even had special guest teaching appearances from Ms Siokos (Director, Educational Leadership) and also from Mr Sutton!
Thank you to all and enjoy some well-earned down time in the break.
