Ministry and Care

Year 7 students, Jasmine S and Poorni K, shared the following devotion with Middle Years. They also illustrated their message by drawing two arrows pointing in the same direction on a piece of paper (pictured).  When either of the arrows was viewed through a glass of water, it changed direction! In like manner, God helps us to change direction and follow his loving ways. 

Imagine your life is a house.  Let’s further imagine that each room of your house represents a different aspect of your life.  Just as all rooms in a house have lights, so do all parts of your life need God.  It’s important for the lights to be on in any given room of your house at night, otherwise you might stumble or fall in the darkness.  Just as it’s important to use the lights in our house so we can find our way around, it’s important to trust God and ask God for guidance and help.  God’s help and support enables us to move towards what’s important and to avoid obstacles and obstructions that could hurt us or lead us astray. 

God always has loving purposes in mind for you.  Blessings come from letting God guide you.
