Acting Head of Senior Years

Ever since the introduction of COVID restrictions, Senior Years Students have moved their assembly meetings online. The broadcasts have gone beyond simple announcements to segments with live crosses, interviews and competitions.

The broadcast team is a great opportunity for students to experience and own their own studio, however much of the tech team graduated Year 12 at the end of 2021. More students are encouraged to volunteer for this opportunity, as the team broadens the scope of the broadcast.

Over the past few weeks, all Year 12 students have had the opportunity to share a canteen prepared lunch with Deputy Principal Mr Baird, their Pastoral Care teachers Ms Kaur, Mrs Kane and Mrs Ibanez and various others such as the Principal, Mrs McAuliffe, Mr Latham and Mr Mani. They had good conversations over food, sharing what they think is going well at GNLC, and what things could be improved – along with lots of laughter. All this is just another sign of good community within our Senior Years – something we all appreciate here at GNLC.
