English Foundations focuses on developing studentsā€™ analytical, creative and critical thinking and communication skills in all language modes. It encourages students to engage with texts from their contemporary world and with texts from Australian and other cultures.   • examine the ways texts are constructed to influence responses
  • create oral, written and multimodal texts that experiment with text structures and language features for particular audiences, purposes and contexts

English Foundations suits a student that wishes to further develop and extend their communication skills (oral and written) in preparation for taking a Level 3 English course (English, English Literature or English Writing) in Year 12.
