Rush HQ excursion

On Thursday the 17th of February, S38 and the Year 6 cohort had the opportunity to attend an excursion to Rush HQ in Rowville.

At Rush HQ all students had the opportunity to participate in team-building, problem-solving, determination and courage-building activities.

Here is the list of activities that all students participated in:

Mt Madness – various rock climbing walls
The Gauntlet – High and Low Ropes (Skywalk)
Ninja HQ – an obstacle course with various challenging activities to try
Dodge it – Dodge Ball with a twist on Trampolines
Jump Factory – How high can you jump?  Can you jump up and sit on the ledge?
Jump ‘n’ Slam – Basketball Hoops using a Trampoline

Here is what the students of S38 had to say about their day out at Rush HQ:

Teagan: I had a go at the Gauntlet which was scary but I overcame my fear and tried it out, but my favourite activity was playing Dodgeball.
Charlotte: What I liked most about Rush HQ was the Gauntlet Course because it got my adrenaline pumping.
Charlotte: I liked that we got free time after spending time on all the activities with our class because I could just spend most of my time on the Gauntlet course which was massive and challenging.
Ohanna: I really liked Rush HQ because I loved the trampolines because as I jumped, my hair would float up in the air which was fun but was also tiring.
Indi: At first I was scared to go on the Gauntlet because it looked a little scary to do but then I overcame my fear of heights and went on it 3 times, it was sooooo much fun!
Kyden: I enjoyed my time at Rush HQ and I learnt that heights are not that scary when you have a rope attached to you.
Amelia: I enjoyed the Ninja HQ at Rush HQ because it was challenging and fun to race against my friends.
Mackenzie: Rush HQ was amazing, except when I was on the Gauntlet and I got stuck.  I then had to jump which was scary.  But my most favourite activity was the Jump ‘n’ Slam Basketball game because I got the ball using the trampoline which was fun.
Dylan: I liked going on the Jump Factory at Rush HQ because I was jumping with my friends and we would cheer each other on to jump and make it up onto the wall.
Zoe: It was a fun experience at Rush HQ because I enjoyed jumping on the trampoline into the foam pit.
Azaleah: I really enjoyed my time at Rush HQ but my favourite activity was jumping into the foam pit because I could dig into the foam and play fight with my friends.
Qanani: My favourite activity at Rush HQ was the Ninja HQ course because it was challenging but I overcame my fears and attempted each obstacle that was there, which was a lot of fun.
Nathan: I really liked the foam pit and dodge ball because it was really fun to jump on the trampoline and throw soft balls at one another. It was also really funny because I got stuck in the foam pit and I struggled to get out.
Brody: I really enjoyed Rush HQ because you could jump really high on the trampolines and it was lots of fun.
Ashley: I had an enjoyable time at Rush HQ because I did many exciting things like, learn to be safe and overcome my fear of heights when tackling the Gauntlet, as well as dodging the balls during dodge ball which was really fun to do.
Diing: At Rush HQ, I loved the activity Jump ‘n’ Slam because I could play basketball on the trampoline with my friends.
Mabior: Rush HQ was a lot of fun because I enjoyed playing and jumping into the foam pit.
Japkirat: Rush HQ was an exciting experience, especially jumping on the trampoline because I could jump really high which was a lot of fun.
Ben: My favourite part of Rush HQ was jumping into the foam pit because I could do lots of amazing flips and have fun with my friends.
Anyang: At Rush HQ, I really liked the Basket Ball because it was the right height for everybody to have a go and how I could jump on the trampoline to slam dunk the basketball.
