In The Classroom
Over the last few weeks our Preps have continued learning the rules and expectations during P.E. The preps have begun exploring the Fundamental Motor Skills such as running and dodging as well as various warm up games such as “The Magic Shoe Box”, “Fruit Salad”, “Everyone’s It Tag”,“Sharky Sharky” and “Scarecrow Tag”.
In Grades One and Two students have continued practising their catching skills. Students have been learning various catching techniques to catch objects of various sizes (Bean Bag, Tennis Ball, Porcupine Ball, Gator Skin Ball, Volleyball, Footballs). Students have been participating in various warm up games such as “Everyone’s It Tag”, “Ship, Shark, Shore” and “Chain Tag”
Our Grades Three to Six have been working hard practising their Shot Put and High Jump skills. In High Jump students have been using various techniques such as the “Frosby Flop” and “The Scissor Kick” to jump over new heights, figuratively and literally.
Saltwater Athletics Carnival
On Tuesday 15th March we held the fourth Saltwater Athletics Carnival for students in Years Three and Four at Victoria University Sporting Complex, Athletic Track Werribee. We would like to congratulate all students that participated, all the teachers were impressed by the student’s risk taking, persistence and supporting each other throughout the day. All students participated in six events; 100 metre, 200 metre, hurdles, long jump, high jump, and triple jump. There was also an 800-metre race for students who wanted to participate in the event. All students made the school very proud with their effort, participation, and behaviour.
Swimming
Seven students participate in the Hobson Bay Divisional Swimming event held at Werribee Outdoor Pool on the 16th March. Congratulations to the following students

Three of our student, Riley Huntly, Cyla Tuiatu and Marcus Ng will be swimming in the District Event to be held on the 30th March.
Year Six Sport
With our Summer School Sports Gala day less than a week away, our students have been training for their chosen sport. We have seen our students put in a lot of effort these last few weeks getting ready for the big day. We wish all our Grade 6 students competing the very best in their upcoming preparations.
