Marriage & Family Week 2019
This week we have been talking about Marriage and Family Week for 2019. The theme this year is The Family: School of Virtue. Classes have been discussing virtues. Virtues are gifts from God which lead us to live in a close relationship with him. Virtues are like habits which need to be practised; they can be lost if they are neglected.
The week will end on Sunday 28th July with a Family Mass at Mary Help of Christians Church at 9.00am. The Family Mass will be hosted by Kindergarten, Year 3 and Year 6.
Please join us in celebrating this special occasion.
Confirmation Dates
Next Tuesday 30th July is the Confirmation Information Evening for parents and families of those students wishing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. It will begin at 6.30pm and will be held in the Year 6 Rooms.
Following this, are the Confirmation Enrolment Masses being held at Mary Help of Christians Church on Saturday 3rd August at 5.30pm and Sunday 4th August at either 9.00am or 5.30pm.
Please note that it is compulsory to attend one of the Enrolment Masses.
The children will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday 8th September at 9.00am in Mary Help of Christians Church.
St. Mary of the Cross MacKillop
Students will celebrate the Feast of St. Mary of the Cross MacKillop on Thursday 8th August (Week 3). Primary children will attend a Mass at Mary Help of Christians Church at 9.30am. Infants children will participate in a Campus Liturgy at 11.40am in the Infants Hall. Students will also be learning about St. Mary of the Cross MacKillop in their Religion lessons.
Altar Servers
If any students from Years 1 - 6 would like to become an Altar Server for weekend and School Masses, please contact Mrs Clarke at the Primary or Mrs Willis at the Infants. Interested students will be given a permission note that parents will need to sign and indicate which weekend Mass they prefer to attend.
