Dear Parents,

We strongly recommend you read the ‘Focus on Learning’ pages in our newsletter each week.

This section will highlight the exciting learning opportunities in our K-6 classrooms. There will be photos, videos and links with interesting and helpful tips for parents.

Big Write and VCOP

Big Write and VCOP are designed to bring the fun back into writing, to make the children want to write and to be continuously challenged throughout the writing journey. Through games, activities, writing tasks, conversations and discussions, students will learn not only where their abilities lie in a fun and engaging way, but also the steps they need to take, in order to continue to improve. 

During Term 3, we are very excited to implement the next phase by introducing: highlighting, breakdown buddies and student criterion scales.  This phase encourages critical self-reflection and peer feedback  to improve student writing outcomes.
