EAL Farewell!

Farewell to our Year 12 EAL Students

Last week we had our annual farewell to our Yr 12 EAL students – both local and International. It is an event that brings all EAL students across the school together to acknowledge the unique experience of students studying in a second, third or fourth language.

This year our International student leaders – Joanna Nguyen, Duke Nguyen and Mark Nguy – provided advice to younger our EAL students as well as Joanna created the most enjoyable presentation, where students were shown baby/child photos of Year 12 EAL students and teachers in when they had to guess who was in the photo.

It was great to have so many students from across all year levels attend to enjoy the food and entertainment. A big thank you to the following people: the agents who generously supplied gifts for our lucky draw - Brian from EIC, Jill from WT Media, Lucy and Zoe from IAE; the International parents who provided food; Sanae from ICC, who provided food; Sue Burke and the canteen staff, who provided the farewell cake and cup-cakes; Gary Agg, Jessica Luong and all the EAL teachers who attended.
