Kingsholme Update

New things are happening...
Kingsholme (a 212 acres farm in Ellendale, 30 mins drive up into the Derwent Valley from New Norfolk) has been a property owned by Pathways for quite a number of years now, and has gone through a number of iterations over the years, for example, from a drug rehab centre to Australia's only foster caring farm. Recently, property managers Andrew & Rachael Herring have decided to move off property with their many foster children to return to Hobart, and a new team and vision has been appointed. We rejoice in and honour the labour of love both Andrew & Rachael, and their entire large family, have poured into Kingsholme over years, and we wish to publicly honour them for their service to Pathways and the Tasmanian community for what Kingsholme has become. Our fondest thoughts go with them in this new season of their life and family.
The Pathways' management team and Board are working with the new team appointed at Kingsholme, with essentially the vision of it being a retreat centre and place of rest continuing, but we are investigating new ways it can accomplish a social enterprise function for Pathways as both a "place of hope" and working farm able to fund its future and provide Pathways with a valuable adjunct to what we do: providing pathways into a bright future for the homeless and those battling addictions.
We are grateful for long time Kingsholme residents, and previous assistant property managers, Loucas & Miranda Stott, taking the reins of the property, and so wonderfully guiding the team forward into a new and exciting future with direct Pathways involvement and management. Please visit the Kingsholme website to take advantage of their wonderful retreat services to individuals, families and churches.
Stay tuned through future Stepping Stones issues, and our Pathways Facebook page, for Kingsholme updates, and keep them and the entire team in your thoughts, prayers and bookings!
