House improvements and a new bus!
Launch is a Hobart-based shelter for male youth (13-22yrs) who are either homeless or troubled by mental health issues. As a medium to long term home for these young men, it is the only such shelter in Tasmania.
The past 6 months has seen a whirlwind of change delivered to Launch Youth. After years of asking, the State Government completed a long overdue refurbishment of our facility in South Hobart, dragging the house from a 1970s look into a more contemporary feel. New kitchen, carpets, paintwork, storage cupboards, doors, locks and bath room facilities have lifted the look and feel of the place to everyone's delight.

We were also privileged to receive a very generous donation from our friends at Prescare (formerly Presbyterian Care) that allowed us to purchase a quality second hand diesel bus from our friends at Bargain Car Rental.
