SunSmart

On both the SEQTA Learn (students) and the SEQTA Engage (parents/guardians) homepage we have the live SunSmart UV data (see image below) so that all of our community are aware of the UV levels throughout the day and the times throughout the day that sun protection is required. Since the start of Term 3 students have been required to wear hats in the open oval spaces or retreat to a shaded area if they do not have a hat with them.

I encourage all boys to ensure they have the school bucket hat with them at school every day (they can be purchased in the Uniform Shop). We certainly want to see as many boys as active on the oval spaces as possible at break times and during PE lessons, so please ensure you have your hat! It is also recommended that boys apply sunscreen in the morning before school and they can also access sunscreen at school throughout the day in the Student Office or the Wellbeing Offices.

2019 Year 7 and 8 Orientation Day and Parent Information Evening

All of our current Year 6 and 7 students will participate in an Orientation Day in Term 4, on Tuesday 30 October 2018.

Our current students will spend a day with many of the new students who will be arriving in 2019 from other local schools. Students will be put into classes for the day (not permanent classes for 2019) and participate in a range of activities. There will also be an information evening for parents later on this same evening.

The attached letter was sent home with your son this week.
