A message from Emmanuel College
- It was great to welcome Martin Sutton from the Resilience Project to the launch of our Year 7 Life to the Full program. Martin emphasised the importance of gratitude, compassion and mindfulness in building resilience. Our Year 7s enjoyed Martin’s humour, lively presentation and fun activities. Well done to students who completed the two-hour Camino walk in support of Caritas and Project Compassion. Groups commenced from each campus, meeting at Queen of Peace.
- It was wonderful to welcome Grade 6 students, our Year 7s of 2020, and their parents, to the Amazing Race evening and BBQ. The Grade 6s joined in mixed school groups to search for clues around the College to answer various questions and had a great night with lots of fun and excitement. Thanks to our development team, staff, student leaders and the VCAL BBQ crew who did a great job in leading this special night for our newest members of the Emmanuel community.

Donate your old glasses
Do you have any old pairs of spectacles at home that you no longer wear? Time to clear out that junk drawer and donate the glasses to a good cause! A donation box can found in the foyer of the school office. The glasses will be donated to people in need overseas through Lions Recycle for Sight, facilitated by Specsavers Werribee Community Program.
...Over the 26 years that the Australian program has operated, over 7 million pair of refurbished spectacles have been delivered to men, women and children in need. In the past 10 years several members of our Marine Branch have been able to use their oceangoing yachts to reach and test villagers, in the remotest areas for eyesight and deliver spectacles to them.
