Coming up...
Tuesday 26 March - Year 1 Prayer Night 6:30 to 7:30pm
Holy Week
Our traditional walk to the 100 steps for the Stations of the Cross will be on Friday 5 April at 9:30am. Further details to follow.
Pop Up Church
The Lenten season is upon us and we are asked to do three practices during Lent; praying, almsgiving and fasting.
During the next two weeks at school we will have a pop up church. This is a tent that will be created into a prayer space where children can visit during recess, lunch and before school to prayer, write a prayer and reflect. This will be placed in the children’s garden. The tent is only small so if it is full, you will have to wait. The pop up church is a quiet place. It is not a place to talk or run around. All are welcome to visit but please respect it as a prayer space.
Lent
The Catholic Church has entered the Church season of Lent. Lent is a time of preparation for Easter, the Christian holiday that celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Many Christians think of the forty days of Lent as an opportunity to change their daily lives and become closer to God.
During Lent we are called to fast, pray and almsgiving in preparation for Easter.
Families in the school received a Lenten pack containing some Lenten activities that you can do together as a family. If you did not receive a pack and would like one, please email Mrs Gracias and she will organise a pack to be sent home: sgracias@qopaltonameadows.catholic.edu.au
