New Staff at BHCS (Part 2 of 2)

Introducing.... David Hughes
1. What you're teaching/excited about this year
Perhaps the most exciting thing about this year is that I get to start the subject Philosophy at Belgrave Heights Christian School! I'm also really looking forward to getting to know all the staff and students and trying to do some really innovative things to make learning engaging and fascinating - both for the students and for me!
2. What did you do previously
For the last four years I have taught History, Philosophy and English at Berwick College. I was heavily involved in designing curriculum and digital learning. We have also been part of starting a new kind of church (for the 'irreligious') who I work with part-time.
3. What do you do for fun
In all my spare time, I am working on a PhD in an area of Philosophy called 'ethics.' I also love technology and NBA basketball. My ultimate fun, however, would have to be hanging out with my kids - Eli is 3 1/2, Hudson is 2, and we have just welcomed our daughter, Ivy, into the world - they are a lot of fun!
