Ormond Year 3-6 House Athletics Carnival

Duncan McKinnon Athletics Track

 

The OPS annual House Athletics Carnival is being held on Tuesday 1st August at Duncan McKinnon Athletics Track. The day will be used as a selection process for the Ormond District Athletics Team.

 

Events will commence at 9.45am and finish at approximately 2pm. Students will be using Nuline buses for transport.

 

Students can dress in their House colours for the day, keeping in mind the nature of the day. Students should have warm tops to wear while they are not competing. 

 

N.B. No hair colour please.

 

Students will need to bring their lunch, snacks and drinks for the day. 

 

Parental assistance is required by your classroom teacher for the events. This also helps the day run trouble free. If you are able to assist on the day, please let your child’s classroom teacher know as soon as possible.

Bike Education - Year 5 

Bike Education for Year 5 will  run on Friday 1st September and Friday 8 September. Students bikes are only required at school on Friday 8 September. Parental assistance is also needed on this Friday. 

 

Bike and helmet checklists have gone home and should be completed. Bikes and helmets are required to be in road worthy condition for your child to participate in the program.

 

Please let your child’s classroom teacher know if you can assist. This session will run from 11.00 until 12.30.

 

Bike Education - YEAR 6

Year 6 Bike Education will be held on the Friday 25th August and Friday 1st September. Our annual Braeside Park Ride and BBQ is on Thursday 14th September.

Bikes are required for Friday 1st September and Thursday 14th September.

Bike and helmet checklists have gone home and should be completed. Bikes and helmets are required to be in road worthy condition for your child to participate in the program.

Parental help is required to assist with activities on Friday 1st September.  Parents are also needed to come along on Thursday 14th September to Braeside Park to ride with groups or to assist with the BBQ. If you are able to assist in either capacity, please let Mr. Pannam or you child’s classroom teacher know as soon as possible.
