On Wednesday this week, students in Foundation celebrated 100 days of learning. They paraded in front of each other to show off their amazing costumes. It was definitely a glimpse into the future, with lots of grey hair and wrinkles!
Congratulations Foundations, continue to AIM HIGH!
On Friday 11 August we will be holding a gold coin fundraiser to support Charley N and Sam B who will be representing our school, and the state of Victoria, at the National Cross Country Championships on Saturday 26 August in Canberra. By bringing a gold coin, students can dress as their favourite sportsperson.
We wish Charley and Sam all the very best. We know they will proudly represent our state and our school.
Please support our school fundraising team by helping out at the Bunnings BBQ at Mentone on Saturday the 19th of August. Click on the SIGN UP HERE button below. Shifts are 1 hour long starting at 8am and finishing at 5pm.
This year we will celebrate Book Week in our classrooms. We have purchased a lovely selection of CBC nominated books and classroom teachers are sharing these books with their students. Look out for nominated books in your local library. The themes explored often initiate discussions and lead to further investigations about a topic or issue raised in a story.
Instead of our Book Fair and Grandparent’s Day events being held during Book Week, these events will now be held in Term Four.
Happy reading.
Mrs Douglas 😊
