Monsignor Peter Jeffery
celebrating 60 years since his Ordination into Priesthood
Last Thursday, a wonderful celebration was held for our dear Monsignor Peter Jeffery in recognition of 60 years since his ordination into Priesthood.
The evening Mass held at our Church was a fitting tribute to such an inspiring Priest who has served his people well. Some of our students got to meet the Archbishop from Fiji last week after the Wednesday morning Mass.
The Archbishop presided over the Celebration Mass for Monsignor on Thursday evening and gave a special homily, recognising Monsignors many commitments as a priest around the globe, including Fiji.
The Mass was meticulously planned with beautiful music and Islander dancers and a wonderful presence of priests, our Bishop, Shane Mackinlay and our own Parish priests, Father Joe and Father Jackson sharing in this special celebration Mass for a very special man of God.
God Bless Monsignor Peter and may he continue to stay well and pursue his ‘life long’ commitment to priesthood.
