Parents and Friends News

Dear families,

 

Thanks to those who attended our P&F Meeting last week. It was great to see some new faces and also some familiar ones. There was some great feedback and discussion.

We look forward to more feedback from the school community on P&F activities.

 

The P&F are currently planning the Father’s Day Stall. We would love to hear from the school community about what type of items they would like to see included in the stall for children to purchase as a gift for Father’s Day.  We welcome ideas please make contact if you have any!

 

Keep your orders coming in for the Pie Drive via CDF Pay.   

 

This term we have teamed up with the North End Bakehouse to run a Pie Drive. 

Ask your friends, family and neighbours if they would like any tasty bakery items, including the award winning Vanilla Slice.

Current events and fundraisers

Pie Drive with North End Bakehouse 

St Brendan’s Primary School and North End Bakehouse Shepparton, have teamed up to help raise funds to support P&F social activities and provide additional resources for students.

 

This is a great chance to stock your freezers with some delicious bakery products.  Perfect for quick weekend lunches or simple weekday dinners.  All products will be freshly baked and suitable to go straight into your freezer if you wish.

 

To increase your order, please encourage work colleagues, family, friends and neighbours to order. 

 

 

Collate your order and place it via CDF Pay.  Orders are due by 4pm Wednesday,

16th August 2023.

 

Orders will be distributed to students on Friday, 25th August 2023.

 

When placing an order please take the following into consideration:

  • Where possible orders will be given to children to take home, this may not be possible if you have placed a large order.
  • Large orders - a family member will need to be available to collect this from the School Hall on Friday, 25th August between 3pm-3.30pm. Children will not be able to carry large orders.
  • Children travelling on the bus - it would not be suitable for children to take bakery products on a long bus journey as items need to be refrigerated as soon as possible. 
  • Orders will only be sent home/available for collection, from school on Friday, 25th August, if you will not be available on this date to pick up your order or arrange someone else to, then consider whether it is appropriate to place an order.  Orders will not be able to be stored at the school over the weekend.
  • All bakery products are fresh and ready to be frozen if desired. Please refrigerate your order as soon as you can after receiving it.

Father’s Day Stall

We would love some input from the school community about what sort of products they would like to see for the Father’s Day Stall.

Do you have a business or work somewhere that may have a suitable product?

 

Please get in contact to let us know any ideas. We hope to have this ready to advertise in the next week.

 

Family Social Night - Friday 8th September 

Planning is underway for a fun family social night on Friday, 8th September from 5.30pm - 8.00pm.  The P&F are currently looking into appropriate venues and considering options for catering.

 

We try to keep ticket prices low for these events.  We would love some feedback on what the school community would like to see at this event.

P&F Meetings

Thanks to those who attended the P&F Meeting on 26th, July.  It was great to see some new faces and some familiar ones.  We had some great discussion, which really helps with planning.

 

The Meeting Minutes and Balance Sheet will be distributed in the next week.  

 

Let us know if you have any feedback on the timing of meetings. We try to accommodate different dates/times where we can.
