STEM week

14th-19th August

STEM Week 14th – 19th August

We are very excited about our plans for STEM week, next week.

On Thursday 17th August, all classes will take part in a construction challenge using teamwork and ingenuity to solve the following problems:

  • What is the tallest structure you can build using newspaper and just 1 metre of masking tape?
  • What is the strongest structure (holding the most weight) you can build at least 50 cm off the ground?
  • What is the safest structure you can build that will protect an egg from falling from a height of at least 1 metre?

Families are welcome to come along during class time and help teams with their challenges in the classroom.

WE ARE IN NEED OF LOTS OF NEWSPAPER-

DONATIONS CAN BE SENT TO CLASSES OR TO THE OFFICE!

On Friday next week, we have our Book Character parade and Spelling Bee. The Spelling Bee this year will have a Science theme- so students are encouraged to brush up on those science words if they are taking part!
