Feast Day of Saint Mary MacKillop 8.8.23

Visit from Fr John McHugh

Last Tuesday Fr John McHugh visited our school to meet the children and staff. Fr John is a retired priest and relieves other priests when they are away. Fr Kingsley is currently overseas for the World Youth Day Pilgrimage.  Fr John visited the classes after recess and spent time with the children sharing his stories and answering questions.

We welcome Fr Kingsley back on Sunday 13th August.

Yr 3/4 Visit to St Joseph's Convent - 2.8.23

Last Tuesday Yr 3/4 visited the Convent for their Religion lesson to learn more about St Mary Mackillop. The children were respectful and reverent in this special place. We spent time in the chapel, toured the convent to see where the Sister's lived and engaged with the numerous Mary MacKillop memorabilia on display in what was the Sister's lounge room. The St Joseph's Convent is rich in history for our school and the children immersed themselves in their visit.
