Compass Calendar Update

Unfortunately, our Compass calendar is temporarily unavailable for families to view. The calendar link became inactive earlier this week, and is a matter being resolved by Department of Education technicians. 

 

We have requested that this matter be treated with the utmost urgency, so that families will once again be able to view upcoming events. 

 

In the interim period, please refer to the page titled ‘Calendar of Events’, which provides a traditional breakdown of events for the remainder of Term Three. 

 

We thank you for your support and patience, as we work to have the above technical issue rectified. 

 

 

Foundation Enrolments- 2024 enrolments now closed

Please be aware that 2024 Foundation enrolments are now closed for Upwey South Primary School. 

 

Relevant information has been provided to enrolled families, and we look forward to commencing our Transition sessions.  

 

Invitation to participate in the 2023 Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey

Note: Please be aware that the following is a Department of Education (DE) templated letter. 

 

Your family is asked to participate in the 2023 Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey. 

 

The Department of Education has contracted ORIMA Research (ORIMA) to conduct the survey. ORIMA is Australia’s leading provider of end-to-end research and data analytics services to the public and not-for-profit sector. 

 

Each year the school conducts an opinion survey with the school community. All families are invited to participate in the survey. Results will be used to inform and direct our future school planning and improvement. 

 

We ask you to please take the time to complete the survey as your opinions are important to us and will contribute to the future management and organisation of our school. The department will use the results from the survey for research purposes and to improve outcomes for students. 

  • The survey will be conducted online and only takes 20 minutes to complete.
    • The survey can be completed on any internet enabled device (desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone) and is compatible with most browsers.
  •  The survey will be open from Monday 7th August to Friday 8th September 2023.
  •  The survey is available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese.

Please be assured that your responses are completely confidential. The survey is conducted anonymously, and it is important to us that you complete the survey as honestly as possible.

Celebrating Student Achievements

 

We have the most amazing students at Upwey South Primary School, and quite often their brilliance extends beyond the boundaries of our school fence. With community sport, artistic endeavors and other events back in full-swing we are wanting to use our newsletter as another chance to celebrate the achievements of our students beyond the school gates.
