Staying safe online
In our modern world, our children are exposed to and have access to such a broad range of content with the ability to share with others, whilst exploring the vast world wide web. We all have a responsibility to ensure this ability to engage in these spaces and platforms is monitored, managed, and done safely, respectfully and within the appropriate guidelines.
At school, we ask staff to be actively checking their student’s activity in these spaces. Our IT Technician team have created a controlled space for students to work within, and children are given e-safety workshops each term to support their understanding and engagement with technology and the internet.
At home, we stress that you actively manage the use of devices, know what your child is accessing and what to do if an issue arises whilst your child is online. Please refer to our CJC Acceptable Use Agreements that students read and signed in Term 1. Please revisit these and discuss them with your child again.
Sécurité en ligne
Dans notre monde moderne, nos enfants sont exposés et ont accès à un grand nombre de connections vers le monde extérieur et à toutes sortes de contenus qu’ils peuvent ensuite partager sur le grand réseau du web, de l’autre côté de leur clavier. Nous avons tous la responsabilité partagée de surveiller les enfants qui explorent internet, d’assurer leur sécurité, et s'assurer que leurs interventions respecte les autres personnes, et les règles d'utilisation.
À l’école, nous demandons aux professeurs de surveiller activement les élèves qui naviguent sur internet. Notre équipe technique a créé un espace contrôlé où les élèves peuvent travailler en sécurité, et ils participent à des ateliers sur l’utilisation sûre des technologies. En tant que parent, nous vous demandons de surveiller votre enfant activement lorsqu’il utilise des appareils banchés sur le web, soyez à l’affut des sites qu’ils visitent et soyez prêt à réagir si un problème se présentait. Veuillez relire le contrat signé par les élèves en début d'année, et prenez le temps d'en discuter avec votre enfant.
