Our Catholic Community
Confirmation 2023
On Sunday 30 July, ten Year 6 students received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Due to our Diocese currently being with a Bishop, Fr. Vic, our parish priest conferred the sacrament. Congratulations to the following students: Maggie Adams, Zach Hobday, Emily Huggins, Lila Karam, Prudence Litchfield, Lucy Moylan, Delphine Sampson, Shaylyn Smith, Molly South and Douglas McGrady.
First Reconciliation
Notes have been distributed to Year 2 students who are eligible to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. If your child has been baptised in the Catholic Church and has not received a note, please contact St Francis Xavier's Parish Office on 67522888. Students in other years who have not received the Sacrament are invited to join Year 2 as well.
Feast of St. Mary of the Cross MacKillop
On Tuesday, we gathered to celebrate a Liturgy of the Word to celebrate the feast day of St. Mary of the Cross MacKillop. A big thank you to Sr. Margaret who shared her insights into her life as a Sister of St. Joseph and what it means to follow in the footsteps of our Australian saint.
Kindergarten Mass
This morning, Kindergarten hosted their first Mass. Congratulations to all our readers who read beautifully with the help of their older siblings. A special thank you to the overwhelming number of parents and friends who joined us to celebrate. Don't forget to keep an eye on the calendar for your child's class mass.
