Hastings Day Festival
Saturday Feb 23, 2019
This year marks the 50th year of Hastings Western Port Festival. This year the theme for the festival is Harbour of Friendships, Celebrating Art, Music and Multicultural diversity.
St Joseph’s will be attending and showcasing our Indonesian language and culture. We ask that you wear an Indonesian style sarong, coloured t shirt for girls and white shirt for boys. The school will provide golden headwear for girls( to be made in Art classes) and red/yellow/black/white head scarf band for boys.
We will also carry signs with Indonesian phrases and flags. These will also be made at school.
Parade Information
Where: High Street, Hastings – between Queen Street and Marine Parade.
When: Saturday, 23rd February 2019

If you would like to join the students to walk down High st you are welcome. If you are not walking with the school you must collect your child at the end of the parade walk which is the corner of High and Marine Parade. Please be prompt in collecting your child.
If you have any spare sarongs and are willing to lend them out please see Mrs Renfrey. For all new families to St Joseph’s, we hope that you will join us in celebrating this event. You can walk with your child in the parade or watch and collect your child outside the Shire Office after we have walked in the parade. Students must be collected asap after the parade.
This is a fabulous opportunity to get involved in the community spirit and help show the Peninsula the wonderful students of St Joseph’s, Crib Point and our love of the Indonesian language and culture.
Thanks Lisa Renfrey
