Indonesian News...

Halo semua!
This year Indonesian is going to look a bit different at St Joseph's. We are changing from weekly 1 hour specialist classes to an 'All Language Approach', where students, staff members, and even our parent community try to use Indonesian in their everyday life.
Our aim for 2019 is to learn 100 words, and my role this year is Language Leader, coaching everyone and helping to introduce new words and gestures each week.
Studies show that learning an additional language helps brain development and literacy skills, so let's all get on board and practise our Bahasa Indonesia!
This week's words are berdiri (stand up) and duduk (sit down). We will be practising these in class and around the school, so please get on board and support language learning.
Terima kasih,
Ebony Jenkin
