Learning Centre News...

Learning Centre Two

The year has wound down but we're still keeping busy in LC2. This week we are doing cooking with Janeen across the 3 days of school left - Pizza rolls and golf balls today, sausage rolls tomorrow along with cakes. Yum. The cooking supplies are courtesy of a voucher from Woolworths that was related to our Healthy Food Inquiry unit in Term Three.

Robotics Club 2019

Elizabeth & Brian ran the last robotics club for 2019.  They finished with a bang; students had the opportunity enter the Great Race.

Congratulations to Jack Measham for winning the 'Great Race' and collecting a Robotic Car Kit as First prize.

Learning Centre Three

What a year it has been in LC3! We have had a wonderful year of learning, growing and playing! As we finish up the year we have celebrated the students learning during inquiry, where they have done some excellent work comparing the past to the present. Our excursion to Bundoora Park helped to enrich our learning and students were given the opportunity to share their learning by presenting to their learning group. It was great to see all the students so engaged in this, particularly coming to the end of the term where we are all feeling a little tired!

I would like to take this opportunity to again thank our parent helpers across the year coming on excursions to Werribee Zoo and Bundoora Park - without your help and your time, these days wouldn't be possible. Also, a big thank you to Tanya, Tracey, Chrissy, Michelle and Ebony for the countless hours you spent changing our take home books. Your dedication and help has been greatly appreciated.

You will notice over the next few days very full school bags as students begin to bring home their workbooks, portfolios ect. Please remind your child to bring a plastic/reusable bag with them to take home their things.

The team in LC3 would like to thank you all for your continued support on this important journey of your child's learning. We have been lucky to work with such beautiful families. We would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. May this time be happy, safe and full of all the blessings our world has to offer.

Learning Centre 1 - 2019

A big thank you to all our Prep Parents and Students in LC1 over 2019.

It is now the start of Family Wellbeing Time.

Wishing you all a relaxing and prayerful Christmas and summer break. The best activities for family wellbeing are always the most simple. Please enjoy spending time together as a family, having PJ late mornings, picnics in the park or the beach. Playing cards, reading books, craft activities, playing sport, riding your bike and board games are always opportunities for fostering family relationships and at times building resilience. We look forward to seeing you all refreshed for 2020.

We hope you have enjoyed our photos on the dojo's and newsletters over the year.

Our final Incursion for 2019 was titled 'Toys over Time'.

The children had a wonderful time exploring the old and new toys that children have played with over time.

What a year we have had in learning centre 4, we moved into our new space and have had a fantastic year together.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our families and students for all the hard work and support shown through out the year. You have supported every thing that the students have taken part in and organised.

Today the year 6 students enjoyed their big day out at Adventure Park, they loved going on the water slides, rides, paddle boats and spending time together.

The team in LC4 would like to thank you all for your continued support on this important journey of your child's learning. We have been lucky to work with such beautiful families. We would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. May this time be happy, safe and full of all the blessings our world has to offer.
