                     The School Year Has Come to The End

                        We Await the Birth of Jesus Christ

At the end of this school year we give thanks to God:

For all the teaching and learning that has taken place in our school,

both in and out of the classroom.

 For the talents and gifts that have been shared and the challenges that have been faced;

For the burdens that have been lifted and the hurts that have been healed;

For the respect and care that has been given.

We give thanks for the friendships that have just begun and for those that have grown.

For the faith that has been lived in our daily struggles,

For the hope that has lifted our hearts on the dark days

And for the love that has kept us going.

We give thanks for the community that we are, and we ask you Lord;

Bless our families as we take our holidays, may our time together leave us with memories to cherish. Pour out your love on us that we may return renewed and refreshed to continue our journey together .

We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.

Amen

                A Blessing Upon Our Year Six Students

On Monday we had a beautiful liturgy celebrated by Fr. Albert to recognise the end of primary school for our Year Six students. We wish them all our prayers and blessings as they begin the next step in their educational journey and life stories.

A blessing upon our students of 2019

These words are for all our students, especially our Year Sixes.

I am sending you to be my light and life in the world. Through you I teach love.

Through you I teach challenge; through you I bring life. Through you I heal the broken hearted; through you I bring comfort.

You are my instruments of life and love; I will send forward my children, who will challenge you to be more than you ever dreamed,

Who will touch my passion, my cross, my resurrection and my love for all people?

In you I have trust and hope. Through you I live and dream and have my being.

They call me Teacher. With you I will walk and talk. I will guide you; Listen! Believe! Trust! Hope!  I will take you on a journey, known and unknown to you.

Trust! Respond! Share my life and love with those you meet along the way!

                       St Vincent De Paul Hampers

Finishing last Friday, we, as a school, have contributed 36 hampers with extra food that was delivered to St. Vincent De Paul. We are humbled by the generosity of our school community. This show of support will assist many families in our community this Christmas.

Sacramental Program Dates 2020

The dates below are now set by the Parish for 2020. There has been a change to our Confirmation date so please put it in your diary.

Sacramental Journals were sent home this week Year 2 families  of 2019 for the 2020 Sacrament of Reconciliation/Penance.  Father Albert has asked that they be taken to any masses that a family attends in any parish. He has an expectation that families will assist their child by completing the spaces provided before the time to receive a sacrament in the Parish, allowing the child to be comfortable with practices  and knowledgeable in prayer.

If you have any questions please see me at school or email me at the address attached: pmcdowell@olscwyn.catholic.edu.au
