News..

As part of book week, students completed a number of book reviews focusing on the six short listed books in the Children's Book Council Awards for 2019. The students enjoyed reading the picture story books and discussing each story’s hidden meaning and/or moral. On Friday, the students selected the book they believed should win Book of the Year 2019 and wrote a detailed review. There was not one clear standout in the students' minds and each student made very good arguments about why their favourite should be the winner.

In the end there could only be one winner which was Cicada, written by Shaun Tan.

Please remember CU2/CU3 parents to get your availabilities into Mr. Spilsted to avoid being given Guinea Pig or Chicken Duty on an inconvenient weekend.
