School Production- ‘The Wedding Singer’

Have you booked tickets and planned an evening at this year’s musical production of The Wedding Singer? If not there is a show tonight and another tomorrow night, and after witnessing the performance last night I would strongly encourage you to come along. This year’s show is funny and engaging and even better than the shows which have gone before. The cast and crew have already completed a primary school matinee on Wednesday and their first evening performance. The show will commence at 7.00pm tonight and again at 7.00pm tomorrow evening. Tickets are available by following the link from our school website, www.healesvillehs.vic.edu.au  and there may also be tickets available at the door. Please support this school event, bring your family and friends - book your tickets and enjoy the show. The students and staff involved have earned our support – and most importantly, you will have a great night.

Thank you to each of the generous supporters and sponsors of this year’s show, including YX Ball Financial, Cindy McLeish MP, Clear Systems, Healesville Community Market, Barry Plant, RSL Healesville, Warped Media, JC Cleaning and Maintenance, McKenzie’s Tourist Services, Smoke Screen Illumination and the Healesville Community Branch of the Bendigo Bank. We very much appreciate the wonderful support for our school and our students shown by these community-minded individuals and businesses.

Uniform

A number of changes to the school uniform are currently being finalised, to take effect from the start of the school year in 2020. As well as changes to the uniform we will move away from our current uniform supplier and commence a business arrangement with a new uniform supplier, PSW. The new company was established in 1990 and currently supplies to 1,000 schools nationally. PSW offer secure online shopping and a fully equipped store in Lusher Road, Croydon. Over the course of the next three months all necessary details regarding uniform changes and purchasing through PSW will be provided to parents, guardians, carers and students. In summary though, and to ease any concerns I will mention the following:

From 2020 Year 7 students and those new to our school will be expected to purchase all uniform items from the new supplier and from the new uniform list.

Whenever students in Year’s 8 to 12 are requiring replacement items they will be required to be purchased from the new uniform list. Parents will not be expected to replace existing uniform items.

The changes are being introduced for a number of reasons. Greater ‘uniformity’, through fewer variations on the uniform list, higher quality garments and a larger supply company providing a shorter time between order and delivery are amongst the main reasons.

As further details are released please feel free to contact me at any time to discuss any individual concerns you may have.
